inspired by nature

I especially love the subtle muted shades of the North Sea coast. Fortunately our dog shares this passion, so we see the sea in all its seasonal glory! We're lucky enough to have Seasalter and Whitstable on our doorstep, and venturing further afield the Northumberland coastline near Craster is another favourite.

My glass sculptures are composed of countless individually hand-cut curves of Bullseye coloured glass. These are layered and fired multiple times, evolving into mesmerising waves with texture, shape, and depth. The process is intricate and time-consuming.

The unpredictability of glass adds a touch of magic to my work. I'm fascinated how glass mirrors water, with an interplay of light and shade that changes throughout the day.

Every wave is unique...

My glass sculptures require multiple firings in  the kiln to achieve the depth, texture and intricate details that make them so unique.

Each piece is finished in a handcrafted frame made locally, from sustainable wood. I hand paint some frames in complimentary Farrow and Ball shades.

Created with the same love and care, these are less intricate designs that require less studio time and fewer firings.
